The Gothic Hinge is finally done. I made custom punches for the leaves and the top leaf texture and a lot of spicy forge welds in there too. It’s about 41” by 24” 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶

Alex Irwin has always loved to make useful and beautiful objects. He was introduced to blacksmithing at the age of 15 at a workshop in Berea, KY. Since then he has worked on forged iron objects, architectural pieses, and iron sculptures.

He graduated from The American College of the Building Arts in Charleston, SC. in forged architectural ironwork in 2023.

He is currently a journeyman traveling to different shops around the country working on various architectural and sculptural jobs.
